PULTRUDED FRP PROFILES

Pultruded FRP Profiles are made from densely packed continuous glass fibers wrapped by a layer of glass mat. The dense fiber core makes the shapes very tough and rigid. With the absolute values of flexural strength and impact strength in longitudinal direction higher than those of common steels. The use of glass mate increases the transverse strength of the shapes and help form a resin rich layer on the surface to provide to good corrosion-resistance and cracking-resistance.

FRP pultruded section production process mechanically draws continuous fiber roving and mats through a resin bath and then through a series of forming guides and finally through a heated mold. Pultruded section is stronger than molded products because of the higher glass content in pultruded products.

The benefits of FRP pultruded section also include corrosion resistance, slip resistance, light weight, high strength-to-weight ratio, non-conductive, non-magnetic, fire retardant, impact resistant, superior economics and low maintenance.
