Problem:

  • Steps to building were non-compliant and previous support frame had begun to heavily rust due to wet floor conditions.
  • Previous decking used timber; this was very slippery and had begun to splinter and rot, leaving a dangerous safety issue for users.
  • Noise complaints were noted by users and office workers, as the timber was rickety and loud.

1. Reduce:

  • Noise needed reduction for workers.
  • Reduce OSH risks.

2. Design:

  • Choosing a grit that would be suitable for the wet slip conditions and remain tidy in appearance.

3. Longevity:

  • Make sure the new structures withstand the weather and outdoor environment exposure.

Solutions:

Design:

  • The discussion was had about the practicality of FRP, how quick it is to clean, the lifespan and noise reduction it can create.
  • Selected colours and grit.

Install:

  • We had a team member visit site and measure the flooring space and get ready for install.
  • Once all pieces were ready to go and mapped out, we set on our way to Bunbury and completed the install.

Down-Time:

  • Installation began quickly after initial contact for quote and design.
  • We had a quick transportation of product due to its lightness.

Project Outcome:

We refurbished the demountable floorings in a quick manner and created a safer environment for the users.

  • Meets compliance standards.
  • The strength of the flooring shows much less wear and no damages.
  • The noise reduction is significant to previous structure.
  • Quick installation from start to finish with no compromise on quality.
  • Reduced OHS Risk Rating.

Delivery:

  • The delivery of the product was close to our main headquarters in Mandurah – meaning we could get there quickly and minimal freight charges.

Install:

  • The install caused minimal disruption to the workers and was completed in a timely manner.

Withstand:

  • The product is beyond tough enough to withstand the environments conditions and use from person traffic.
