Location: Gold Coast, Queensland
Project Date: November 2021
Objective: Create and install a 20-meter waterfront path to replace previous timber structure.
Challenges:
- Existing timber deck had severe water damage posing a safety risk.
- Being a marine environment, we needed to ensure we did not disturb or disrupt the quality of life for animals living in the water.
- Timber deck was incredibly slippery, increasing our safety risk measures near water.
Solution We Created:
We removed the timber deck and replaced with a fine grit mini-mesh grating structure, which is suitable for marine life, will withhold the harsh conditions of water and sun, reduce risk of slippage and sees a safer and environmentally friendly outcome. This structure will see 20+ years of life.
