AFTER

Location: Gold Coast, Queensland

Project Date: November 2021

Objective: Create and install a 20-meter waterfront path to replace previous timber structure.

Challenges:

  1. Existing timber deck had severe water damage posing a safety risk.
  2. Being a marine environment, we needed to ensure we did not disturb or disrupt the quality of life for animals living in the water.
  3. Timber deck was incredibly slippery, increasing our safety risk measures near water.

Solution We Created:

We removed the timber deck and replaced with a fine grit mini-mesh grating structure, which is suitable for marine life, will withhold the harsh conditions of water and sun, reduce risk of slippage and sees a safer and environmentally friendly outcome. This structure will see 20+ years of life.
